The Society annually presents awards in several fields to individuals, including the Bart F. Smallwood Award, Indian Woods Research Award, and the Indian Woods Teen Award.

Sponsorships
Committed to supporting Bertie County K-12 teachers, the Society will develop the a Teacher Education Initiative and sponsor retreats and special events. We are seeking a corporate sponsor.
